A Morning Routine to Improve Health and Beauty

The lives of women can be hectic and chaotic, but a healthy morning routine can help keep you calm throughout the day while maintaining your beautiful glow. A morning beauty routine is important for proper care of your skin and hair, but a routine that prepares you mentally is just as vital, if not more so. Think about your life and choose your daily habits to improve life for women.

Lose the Snooze

As tempting as it is to hit that good old snooze button a couple times for some extra shut-eye, the rushed pace you will then have to keep to get ready on time will only leave you in a frantic and panicked state. Set your alarm so that you can get out of bed and have plenty of time to prepare for the day at a relaxing pace. Do as much as you can to prepare the night before such as:

  • Choose and layout your wardrobe, including all accessories like jewelry and shoes.
  • Prepare breakfast the night before by having fruit cut up and even cereal or smoothie ingredients pre-measured.
  • Gather the kids’ school items and lunches.
  • Prepare a to-do list of tasks that must be completed the next day so you don’t have to waste time or energy worrying that you have forgotten something.

Ditch the Devices

The average American adult spends 11 hours staring at device screens. Do not start that clock before you even get out of bed. Too often the information we receive via social media and news feeds is depressing and negative, which is an awful way to start the day.

Stretch to Success

Ease your way into the day by preparing your body mentally and physically. Start with some deep breathing and meditation. Think about five things for which you are grateful to steer your mindset on a positive path. Incorporate some yoga or stretching to warm your muscles and start the day standing tall.

Embrace Nature

Whenever possible, prepare your body outside where you can get some early morning sun and do some grounding. Practicing your meditation, deep breathing, and stretching while standing in the grass with bare feet has many benefits.

Visualize Your Day

Mentally walk through your day and determine what you need to accomplish, and then visualize these tasks in a positive light. What will happen for them to be optimally completed? Do not let negative thoughts steer the visualization. You can consider the “what-ifs” as a means of establishing contingency plans, but then return to the idea that your goals will be met without a hitch.

Complete Your Cleanse

You can think about your day as you finish your morning beauty routine. If you do a thorough facial scrub the night before, you can save time and be kind to your skin by using a gentle cleanser in the morning. Protect your skin and maintain that youthful glow with a great moisturizer like SIBU’s Nourishing Face Cream.

Eat a Healthy Breakfast

Your morning meal should be your biggest, but this does not mean filling up on carb-loaded waffles and greasy meats. Incorporate superfoods into your breakfast like avocado, kale, and star fruit. A low-fat protein-packed egg scramble with tofu, kale, and chia seeds will fill you up, but not weigh you down. You can also get a full-body boost from a supplement of sea buckthorn berry.

A healthy morning routine does not have to be complicated. By taking some time for yourself, you may find that you are better able to handle the daily chaos, and you will feel healthier, more confident, and more beautiful. Purchasing the health- and beauty-enhancing products developed by SIBU is a marvelous investment in your morning beauty routine and an excellent addition to your daily habits to improve life for women.

New Year Goals to Consider this Year

With every new year comes a chance to reflect on things you’ve done well and areas that still have room for improvement. We love the new year and the fresh start it offers when trying to become a better person than we’ve been in the past. If you feel the same way, you’re probably thinking about new year goals. We’ve compiled a quick list of new year goals to consider that may help you to jumpstart your self-improvement journey. Keep reading to get some ideas on ways to enhance your life by improving your health, relationships, and mental state.

1. Get More Sleep

Getting quality sleep can do a world of good for your health, mental state, and happiness levels. Doctors usually recommend adults shoot for an average of 8 hours of sleep e

ach night, but some people may need slightly more or less. Find your sweet spot and commit to sleeping the full amount you need each night in order to feel rested. You can drift off more quickly by avoiding screens and having a wind-down ritual.

2. Put a Smile On

Smiling when you’re not in the mood may seem silly, but there’s great power in simply turning up the corners of your mouth. This is the ultimate “fake it ‘til you make it” situation, where the act of smiling can actually enhance your mood until you feel like smiling on your own. Smiling also makes you seem more approachable, friendly, and likable, so you may improve your relationships with those around you—or even start a new one.

3. Take a Nutritional Supplement

Whether you’re the biggest health nut on the block or a junk-food lover, nutritional supplements can do big things for your health. Find supplements to meet your individual health needs. For example, those looking to lower bad cholesterol or repair intestinal lining should consider taking SIBU’s Omega 7 Support Soft Gels.

4. Meet Up with Friends

Research shows that face-to-face contact with friends is important for our health, and can even help us live longer. These benefits aren’t replicated when we interact with friends through social media and texting, though, so you’ll need to socialize with friends in person to truly reap the benefits. Plan a weekly lunch date, standing monthly movie night, or some other activity to ensure you’re getting facetime with those who lift your spirits.

5. Put Down Your Phone

Smartphone addiction is harming our society in big ways. As we just mentioned, phones are no substitute for human interaction. They’re hurting relationships by detaching us from others, and even from our selves. When we replace moments of boredom with a scroll through our phone, we lose time for self-reflection and creativity. So, carve out phone-free time each day or week. As an idea, have “screen-free Sunday” or charge your phone outside of your bedroom.

6. Slowly Swap Out Unhealthy Foods

We’ve all been there—year after year you make an ambitious goal to lose 20 pounds, stop eating sugar, or quit fast food. But year after year, that goal has gone out the window by February. This year, make a goal you can stick to and slowly start swapping out unhealthy foods for more nutritious choices. You may not be able to quit sugar for life, but you can switch to desserts made with natural sugar cane or honey. And you may not stop going through the drive-through anytime soon, but you can start ordering a lower-calorie option.

Start Working Toward Your Goals Today

There’s no time like the present to get started on your goals. After reading this list of New Year goals to consider, take the steps you need to becoming a better you in 2019. By recording your goals and making a plan of action, you’ll be sure to get off on the right foot to achieve the goals you have in mind. And if you’re looking to improve your health, buy SIBU Omega 7 Support Soft Gels.

National Stress Day: 10 Natural Home Remedies for Stress

Feeling stressed? Like all the time? You’re not alone! In fact, so many Americans deal with stress that we’ve created a day for it: National Stress Awareness Day is on the first Wednesday of every November. Sadly, chronic stress can dish out some serious side effects that are harmful to your physical health and your emotional well-being. On top of that, the effects of stress can also negatively impact your appearance and self-confidence, from embarrassing acne to concerning hair loss.

Learn how to get your stress under wraps with these home remedies for stress and natural ways to reduce anxiety!

1. Make Lists

If you’re easily overwhelmed by your workload or daily tasks, it is time to start making lists. This is a highly effective way to help you organize your thoughts and break down big projects into more manageable tasks.

2. Work Out

Stress can really take a toll on your body, but the act of exercise can do wonders for reducing your levels of stress and anxiety by releasing feel-good hormones in the brain that improve your mood and enhance your state of personal well-being.

3. Less Stimulants

Caffeine, nicotine, and other stimulants are known to increase stress and anxiety. One of the best natural ways to reduce anxiety is to cut stimulants out of your diet, or at least cut back on them. Instead, use natural, more mild stimulants that can be obtained through healthy foods and exercise.

4. Take Care of Yourself

With so much to do and so little time to do it, we don’t always make time to take care of ourselves. Unhealthy diets and poor hygiene ultimately lead to more emotional turmoil when we see the results of stress effects on skin, hair, and nails. Give yourself the time you need to take care of yourself, including maintaining a healthy diet. If you simply don’t have the time to cram your daily vitamins and nutrients on the plate, take a SIBU supplement to maintain good health, like our sea buckthorn berry.

5. Unplug

Nowadays, we are so overstimulated by smartphones, apps, games, social media, computers, TV, and more. Give your busy brain a rest and unplug yourself from the digital world. Shoot for at least an hour of peace and quiet every day. As you do this, you’ll also create more time for yourself to relax or get things done.

6. Meditate

You’ve been hearing about this remedy for years now, but have you given it a chance yet? Meditation is a magnificent tool for clearing your mind and reducing stress. If you’re pressed for time, start your days with just 2 minutes of silent, relaxing meditation.

7. Sleep Better

Your brain needs 7 to 9 hours of sleep every night in order to process a whole day’s worth of mental intake and prepare for the next day. Without a sufficient amount of sleep, you’re depriving your brain of the time it needs to recalibrate and refresh before another day of errands, responsibilities, and other stressors.

8. Aromatherapy

If you’re having a particularly stressful day, some soothing aromatherapy might be just what you need to clear your mind and calm down. Light a lavender-scented candle or use some calming essential oils to reap the relaxing benefits of aromatherapy.

9. Pamper Yourself

Who says you’re not allowed to spoil yourself on the regular? Treat yourself to a relaxing massage, a long bubble bath, or a manicure at the salon. However you choose to pamper yourself is up to you; just make sure you do it more than once a year to reap the stress-reducing benefits.

10. Write it Down

Writing can be incredibly therapeutic for individuals who suffer from all kinds of emotional upsets and disorders. Dump your worries, fears, and stressors onto the page for a cathartic release. Do this every morning or night for a fresh start and a clear mind.

With these natural remedies, you can prevent stress from wreaking havoc on your life and your skin! Discover how sea buckthorn can also benefit your physical health or check out the SIBU blog for more ways to enhance your well-being in order to live a happy, healthy life!

Travel Beauty Essentials – Fall 2018 Edition. Part 1.

Buckle up beauty lovers and get ready to amp up your immune system and arrive at your destination energized, beautified and glowing. These are your travel beauty essentials….

I absolutely love traveling. It feeds my soul, however being in a cabin for hours with circulating air (and some humans that have yet to master the art of covering ones mouth when they cough or sneeze), can test our immune system and our patience….namaste. So today the focus is on pre flight prep and in flight beauty companions.

I’ve been taking shots of SIBU Beauty Omega-7 Pure as I prepare to fly across the Atlantic. Yes I do take this super berry year round, however prior to flying I actually do a few shots a day. Sea Buckthorn (the source of omega 7) is a powerful antioxidant and fights inflammation. It beautifies by supporting healthy skin, hair and nails; I see the glow in my skin from this internal moisturizer and my hair is more lustrous. Flying can dry out our skin so this is a great preflight boost. Talking of shots I can’t get enough of the rehab shot from Juice Press (this is a New York thing, however for my beauty lovers outside of NY it’s easy to make at home). The rehab shot consists of organic ginger, lemon and cayenne and it works wonders! I take one a day for a week, especially prior to long haul flights. When flying for work I have to arrive ready to go and these pre-flight boosts help.

From Super-berries to super-mushrooms….nature has you covered. I am a huge lover of medicinal mushrooms. My favorite is Host Défense, please read the story behind Host Defense as they take their mushrooms seriously and their passion for what they do is inspiring (www.hostdefense.com). I’ve recently rediscovered the power of Reishi. First of all it hydrates dry, sensitive skin, perfect for flying. A fabulous internal moisturizer and remember the ultimate beauty treatments are what we put inside our body. Let’s all shout it out together – “beauty from the inside out baby”. Major bonus points include promoting hair growth and improving the elasticity and tone of your skin, slowing down the aging process and leaving you with clear, glowing skin…que the music “young forever……” I hear you Beyoncé and Jay Z….Hold up there’s more…..Reishi’s anti-Inflammatory, anti- microbial, anti-allergenic and anti-histamines properties eases skin problems such as rashes, insect bites, sunburn and wounds. So a great travel companion. For flying I’m taking the liquid option as many germs enter through the mouth and this is a great barrier….you can’t sit with us. There are so many incredible benefits to this mushroom….I can not recommended it enough.

I’m a lover of ginger and turmeric so when I recently discovered the two made love and became one in the form of My Kind Organics extra strength Turmeric I smiled. Turmeric again is a great year round herb as it’s benefits are endless and it’s a superpower for the immune system. However it is particularly good for traveling because of its natural anti inflammatory power that dramatically increases the antioxidant capacity of the body. Combined with ginger, which supports the digestive system, this is the dynamic duo for traveling.

We’re strong. We’re ready. Let’s fly. So who deserves the privilege of flying with us. Certainly the SIBU Beauty Sea Berry Seed Oil for it’s multitude of uses. Not only as a nourishing face oil but for any cuts or dry skin (think cuticles, elbows, knees). It is a very healing oil. The Organic Pure Luxe Oil is a must have for layering. This is my go to Face Oil. A detailed breakdown is in the Fall Beauty Essentials.

I love love love face sprays. The way a face spray refreshes you after flying is everything. I can feel my skin awakening and drinking the benefits of the Alteya’s organic Bulgarian Rose Water face spray. It is so deeply hydrating. And the ultimate moisturizer SkinFood by Weleda. There is only one skinfood….don’t be fooled by wannabes. I also now take SIBU Beauty Face and body bar when I travel for the hotel. As I love how this bar keeps my skin moisturized.

Wherever your travels take you….enjoy the journey…spread love on your way and create cherished memories. As my daddy always told me, “this is life – not a dress rehearsal”.

These are just a few of my in flight beauty secrets. Stay tuned for part 2…

8 Fall Skin Care Tips: Helping Your Skin Transition from Summer & Prep for Winter

As the famed literary character Anne of Green Gables says, “I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers.” The fall seasons brings with it crisp weather and a whole slew of seasonal fun. There are sweaters and layering. There are pumpkins and pumpkin spice treats. There are football games and costume parties. Really, there are few things to dislike about fall except how quickly the season ends.

Trouble for Your Skin

However, your skin may not embrace the changing seasons quite so enthusiastically. Every time there’s a change in the weather, your skin takes some time to adjust. And those adjustments may manifest as troublesome skin for a few weeks.

For example, during the winter months, your skin is producing more oil to stay hydrated. When the weather cools down, your skin has to prepare for dry, harsh air. Your skin will need to work hard to stay hydrated in the midst of rain, wind, and chilly temperatures. This might cause cracking or peeling skin, inflammation, and breakouts. Then as spring turns to summer and humidity increases, that oil now gets trapped under the surface of the skin and may leave it feeling greasy and acne-prone.

Help Your Skin Out

However, if you’re aware of the coming changes, you can go into defense mode and prevent some of the havoc that the changing seasons may wreak on your skin. By sticking to a consistent morning and evening ritual, you’ll be able to avoid some of the dreaded dry skin and irritation that usually occurs when the seasons change.

Read on for 8 fall skin care tips to help you seamlessly transition into the season of cool mornings and chilly nights.

1. Switch Up Your Cleanser

Many women love foaming cleansers that give a truly fresh-faced feeling in the nightly skincare routine. However, foaming cleansers can be a bit harsh when the weather cools down, since they’re more aggressive in removing oils from the skin’s pores. Switch to a cream cleanser to keep more of your skin’s natural oils intact.

2. Apply a Soothing Serum

Your skin needs all the help it can get to fight off tough winds in the cooler weather. We recommend using a hydrating serum like SIBU’s Hydrating Facial Serum on a daily basis to give your skin an added glow. Facial serum adds antioxidants to the skin, fights sun damage from the long summer days, and stimulates collagen.

3. Moisturize (and Then Moisturize Some More!)

It’s nearly impossible to over-moisturize when the air is drier and colder. Use a thicker cream and pay attention to all parts of your body for ultimate hydration. In the fall and winter, be sure to use a whole lineup of moisturizers:

4. Exfoliate Less Frequently

You’ll want to cut back on retinoids in cold weather, which most exfoliation products contain a heavy dose of. Try an oil-based scrub or mask just once a week to avoid irritating your skin and stripping it of natural oils.

5. Don’t Forget Your SPF

You may have overlooked number five on our list of fall skin care tips. Just because you’re not spending all day in the intense sunshine doesn’t mean you don’t need to apply SPF! Though the temperature may be cooler, the sun still can do damage to your skin, even on a cloudy day. Make sure your daily moisturizer still contains at least SPF 15 to keep you protected from the winter sun’s rays.

6. Take a Pill

Renew your skin from the summer sun damage with skin antioxidants. When taken in a pill form, they’ll restore hydration and radiance from the inside out. SIBU’s Omega-7 blend is a great way to start. Look for a pill with seaberry oil, fish oil, biotin, or zinc and calcium to really give your skin a boost.

7. Invest in Cuticle Oil

Many women experience dry cuticles in the fall and winter, which can be irritating and painful. SIBU’s convenient Miracle Stick Healing Balm is great for healing cracked cuticles, along with a slew of other healing remedies like sunburn relief and treatment for eczema.

8. Purchase a Home Humidifier

If you really want to combat troubles with your skin in the fall, use a home humidifier to keep the air inside your home more hydrating. Humidifiers can benefit your family in all sorts of ways aside from preventing dry skin. They’re known to help prevent illness, snoring, and even make your home feel warmer.

By following these fall skin care tips, you’ll be well on your way to firmer, more hydrated skin when the cold weather arrives. You’ll be glad you invested a little time and money in a fall skin care routine when you see the difference it makes! Emma’s SIBU Journey: Model, Actress and Creator of Beauty Essentials Shares Her Top 3 Products

Happy September beauty lovers…..I hope you all had a fulfilling summer and feel refreshed and ready for the new season. For summer 2018 I was the face of the holistic skincare brand SIBU…. as the model I also shared my experience with the products.

So today I’m giving you a detailed look into the three products that had the most impact on my skin. SIBU is in sync with how I live and approach beauty and so it was a joy to be the face of this nourishing skincare.

Let’s start on the inside….

My approach to beauty is from the inside out and so I have to tell you about the superpower Omega-7 Juice Blend. For glowing skin and lustrous hair this is what you need. Who is omega 7? Oh she’s the goddess of glow. A little history on the source of omega 7. The Turkestanica Sea Berry (sea buckthorn) is an omega 7 powerhouse unmatched in its nutrient profile. Packed with over 190 bioactive compounds. It thrives in the extreme alpine environment of the Himalayan Highlands. It is a fascinating berry and I encourage you to discover more through their blog.

So what are the specific benefits I hear you ask…. I experienced an obvious extra glow in my skin and noticeable improvement in my skin tone and texture, my hair shined, my immune system definitely felt stronger and this is a powerful free radical scavenger (get those free radicals!), and it’s great for your heart (whatever age, our heart deserves non stop support for all its work and love). I have a shot every morning and also one a few hours before bed. Perfect for now, when the body needs extra support as the seasons kiss and say goodbye.

Now that our inside is nourished and supporting our skin, let’s talk serum. This is the best serum I’ve ever used. I’m addicted. My skin tone has never looked better. It’s season-less , so after using it all summer, I will be using it throughout the autumn and winter. I use the Hydrating Face Serum in the morning and evening. As my regular beauty essentials lovers know, I’m all about layering my skincare, especially in the cooler months. I apply this on clean skin, patting it gently into my face and neck. I let it absorb for 30-60 seconds before applying the Luxe Face Oil.

This serum is a protective barrier not only against the elements (although it does not replace spf) but also against the pollution our skin has to endure daily in the city…..smooth, radiant, firm, glowing skin. Yes please!

Luxury skincare never felt so good. The Organic Luxe Face Oil is superior in its results. My skin drinks this up and as a thank you gives me a pop pow glow. Are you sitting down? You should be, as the guest list of oils is impressive:

  • Argan Oil – hydrating
  • Sunflower Oil – age and wrinkle protection provided by vitamin E
  • Rosehip Oil (one of my favorite oils) – vitamin A & C protect against toxins/oxidation
  • Lavender Oil – calming and clarifying for the complexion
  • Frankincense Oil – cleansing.Antiseptic activity neutralizes toxins
  • Patchouli Oil – used for scars and blemishes
  • Sea Buckthorn Oil (the queen) – super hydrating, antibacterial, antimicrobial. I use this morning and night!

This 1 fl oz bottle of pure luxe is my in flight companion and work colleague for on set if my skin needs a moisture boost. It is the ultimate in luxury skincare. Luxury is quality and quality are products that feed your skin with clean ingredients that nourish it. What you put on your body goes in your body.

So turn your glow all the way up…..more….more….more….yeah! Let’s glow together as we transition into the new season…..

Using Omega 7 for Weight Loss

When trying to lose weight, many of us look to tools and tricks to help boost the metabolism and shed those unwanted pounds. One item that many are turning to for weight loss is the fatty acid omega 7. The palmitoleic acid in omega 7 can make it a weight loss gladiator.

Health Benefits of Omega 7

Fatty acids found in omega 3, 6, 9, and 7 can help to improve your health in many different ways. Some of the ways omega 7 improves weight loss are:

  • Reduces inflammation
  • Decreases triglycerides
  • Lowers LDL cholesterol and increases HDL cholesterol
  • Helps the liver produce less fat AND
  • Helps stimulate the body to stop storing excess fat
  • Helps to regulate fat production within cells
  • Increases the body’s resilience to environmental toxins and stress
  • Protects the cardiovascular system
  • Improves blood sugar and reduces insulin resistance

Why Omega 7 Weight Loss Can Work

Omega 7 won’t miraculously make you lose a ton of weight. What they do instead is help to improve your overall health so your body is functioning more efficiently, which in turn can result in weight loss.

One way omega 7 helps with weight loss is by controlling metabolic syndrome, thus decreasing inflammation in your body due to stored fat deposits. Omega 7 also helps weight loss because it helps to control fat production better and decreases the amount of fat stored, which helps lose weight.

It can also act as an appetite suppressant which helps you feel full and reduces your desire to overeat. The combination of the health benefits and the suppressant qualities makes omega 7 weight loss a reality for many people that have struggled in the past.

Where/How Can I Get Omega 7 in my Diet?

Many sources of omega 7 are easy to find at your local grocery store:

  • Macadamia nuts and oil
  • Oily fish like salmon and sardines
  • Avocados
  • Olive oil

While these sources do contain some omega 7, they don’t come close to turkestanica sea buckthorn, reaching from 40%, up to 50% omega 7! SIBU’s Omega 7 Support supplements are made from sea buckthorn fruit and oil which make them rich in Omegas 3,6,9, and 7.

Some people claim that the omega 7 from Sea Buckthorn is not as safe as the omega 7 from olive oil or macadamia nuts. But that’s not true at all. Sea Buckthorn oil is minimally processed, which leaves all the good omega 7 benefits to help you with your overall health.

There are many health benefits associated with omega 7s that can help your whole body look and feel better. There are tons of benefits of using omega 7 supplements to help lose weight and reverse dangerous conditions like metabolic syndrome and diabetes. We are ready to help you when you’re ready to take control of your health and use the power of omega 7 products like Omega 7 Support to get a better life. Let us show you how adding this powerful omega 7 supplement can improve your health and happiness.

The Beginner’s Guide to Simple Green Smoothies

By now you’ve probably heard how beneficial green smoothies can be for your overall health. But if you’re still feeling a little in the dark about the what, why, and when of green smoothies, you’ve come to the right place. There are many ways to make simple green smoothies to get you started and learn the basics.

Why are Green Smoothies so Beneficial?

There are a lot of benefits of green smoothies. You probably have most of the green smoothie ingredients you need in your fridge right now and don’t even realize it. That’s what makes them such versatile health food superheroes. Here are a few ways simple green smoothies can help you be healthier:

  • Natural Weight Loss— Green smoothies are packed with fruit and veggies, which provide essential vitamins, minerals, and fiber that help your body function at peak performance.
  • Add More Fruits and Veggies—Did you know eating 5-10 servings of fruits and veggies is important to maintain health? Green smoothie ingredients like dark leafy greens (spinach, kale, etc…) pair perfectly with sweet fruits like banana, mango, pineapple, and berries. The fruit adds fiber and makes the smoothie taste great. You could potentially get 3-5 servings of fruit and veggies in one smoothie.
  • Immune System Booster—By adding all these vitamins and minerals to your body, you are helping your body get the things it needs to fight off disease and infection. Citrus fruits and ginger give your immune system a boost, which is especially helpful during cold and flu season.

What Can You Put in a Green Smoothie?

One of the biggest benefits of green smoothies is how easy they are to make. Fresh greens, mixed with chunks of your favorite frozen or fresh fruit, are all the green smoothie ingredients you need to make a delicious and healthy meal or snack.

Frozen fruit is great to use in green smoothies because it provides fiber, helps mask the taste of the greens, and gives your smoothie a nice, creamy texture. It’s like drinking a dessert! Plus, frozen fruits (berries, cherries, mango, pineapple, peaches, etc…) are available year-round if you can’t get them fresh.

As for liquid, you can use water, Omega 7 Pure, 100% fruit juice (no sugar added is best), almond milk, soy milk, or whatever milk you like best. Almond milk can make your smoothie creamy, or if you prefer a sweeter smoothie, fruit juice might be the way to go. By combining these simple green smoothie ingredients, you can make something amazing.

Here are a few easy recipes for how to make a green smoothie:

Tropical Green Smoothie

1 cup fresh spinach

1 cup water

1/2 cup mango

1/2 cup pineapple

1 avocado

Blend the spinach and the water together until it resembles green water. Add the rest and blend until everything is combined.

Kid Friendly Green Smoothie

1 cup packed chopped curly kale
1 cup packed baby spinach
1 cup frozen chopped mango (or fruit of your choice)
1 cup no sugar added 100% fruit juice

Blend the kale, spinach, and juice together until blended. Add the frozen fruit and blend until smooth.

When Should I Drink my Green Smoothie?

The great thing about green smoothies is they are good anytime! Combine ingredients in zip-top bags and put them in the freezer for a quick breakfast. Just combine the contents in the blender with your favorite liquid (we love the Omega 7 Pure for our smoothies for a nutritional boost, plus omegas 3, 9, and 7) and you can be on the road in no time flat!  There are many benefits of green smoothies and they make a delicious meal or snack anytime, day or night.

As you can see, it’s easy to make simple green smoothies that are beneficial to your health. Want even more health tips? The SIBU Blog is full of great tips, recipes and lots of other information to help you be happier and healthier.

Detox Naturally With These Easy Tips

If the thought of doing a cleanse sends shivers through your colon, you’re certainly not alone. In the past, cleanses have typically been hardcore, regimented processes that monopolized your life for a few days. But it doesn’t have to be that difficult to detox your body.

In addition to natural detox cleanses using food and diet, supplements like Omega 7 Blend have natural body detoxing ingredients that help you feel better. Here are some easy and natural ways to detox your body and produce a natural detox cleanse:

Food for Thought

Many foods have natural body detoxing properties that can help you rid your body of unhealthy bacteria. By incorporating these foods into your diet, you’re about to detox your body without harsh chemicals or crazy regiments. Here are some of the most beneficial:

  • Mango—This delicious, exotic fruit is widely available and easy to get, both fresh and frozen. It’s long been used as a natural way to relieve constipation and detox your body. Try adding mango to a zesty salsa, fiber-boosting smoothie, or a quick afternoon snack to produce a natural detox cleanse.
  • Yogurt—Not all yogurt is created equal so you’ll have to be careful about which ones you choose. Look for minimally processed yogurt that is free from stabilizers and artificial sweetening agents. The probiotic qualities of yogurt are great at helping you restore bowel regularity and help detox your body in the long run.
  • Flax Seeds—Flax seeds are your colons BFF. Not only are these little seed gladiators colon friendly, they have a ton of extra fiber, healthy protein, and essential fatty acids. They will help keep you full longer and act as a natural laxative that helps you achieve a natural detox cleanse. Try adding some to salads, toss in a smoothie, sprinkle on your oatmeal, or add it to rice pilaf. The options are limitless.

Soak it Out

It’s hard to believe that soaking in a hot bath can help to detox your body and provide a natural detoxing cleanse. When you add the right ingredients to your bath, your relaxing bath turns into a natural body detox. Here are some to try:

  • Salt—Use ¼ cup of sea or Himalayan salt, ¼ cup Epsom salt, ¼ cup baking soda, ⅓ cup apple cider vinegar, and 10-15 drops of your favorite essential oil. Combine the salts and soda in a cup of boiling water until dissolved. Run a warm bath, add the salt solution, the vinegar and the oils to the bathwater. You can make the salt solution ahead of time and keep it in a quart jar in your bathroom.
  • Clay—You have two options for using bentonite clay to detox your body – soak or body mask. For a soak, mix ½ cup of clay with ½ cup of water and mix vigorously. Dissolve ½ cup Epsom salt and 10-15 drops of essential oil in a hot bath before adding the dissolved clay and soak for 20 minutes. If you prefer a body mask, mix some of the clay with some water to make a thick paste. Stand in your tub and apply the mask and allow it to dry before slipping into a warm bath. Use a washcloth or sponge to scrub away any remaining clay on your body during your soak.

As you can see, it’s easy to detox your body and give your body a natural detox cleanse without harsh chemicals or crazy detox fad diets. There are also many yoga poses that help you detox your body that you can incorporate into your yoga routine. SIBU has many health supplements that provide a natural detox cleanse for your body such as Omega 7 Blend.

Taking care of your body naturally has never been easier. Let us show you how SIBU can help you look and feel healthy and happy.
